Oklahoma City police investigating multiple shooting incidents in the city’s northeast area

Oklahoma City police are investigating a series of shooting incidents reported in northeast Oklahoma City spanning 2025, including a late-night homicide on NE 23rd Street and separate cases in which victims survived or no one was struck by gunfire.

One of the cases under investigation involved a fatal shooting reported late Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, in the 2700 block of NE 23rd Street. Officers were dispatched around 10:55 p.m. to a report of a shooting. The victim, 53-year-old Glenn Denson, was transported to a hospital and later died. Detectives had not publicly identified a suspect as of Oct. 6, 2025, and police asked anyone with information to contact the department’s homicide tip line.

Separate overnight gunfire report near the state Capitol area

In another northeast Oklahoma City incident, police responded to reports of gunshots around 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, in a neighborhood near Northeast 16th Street and Kelley Avenue, an area not far from the state Capitol. Police said a group of people had gathered in the street when gunfire erupted. No injuries were reported, and officers conducted a large-area search that included K9 units and drones. No suspect information was released publicly at the time of the report.

Apartment-complex shooting resulted in injuries and juvenile arrests

A separate northeast Oklahoma City shooting occurred Thursday, March 27, 2025, at an apartment complex near Northeast 36th Street and Kelley Avenue. Police said four suspects arrived at the location intending to fight, and the confrontation escalated. During the incident, three people were shot; two were taken to a hospital and one was treated at the scene.

Police reported detaining multiple suspects and recovering a firearm from a vacant lot. Three minors were taken into custody and booked into juvenile detention. An 18-year-old, Antonio Bowen, was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on shooting-related complaints. Police described the hospitalized victims’ conditions as serious but stable.
