Official City Council and Commission Updates

The City of Oklahoma City has issued a formal notice regarding the status of public meetings scheduled for today, Friday, February 13, 2026. Residents and stakeholders should be advised that the Convention and Visitors Commission Special Meeting, originally slated for this afternoon at 2:00 p.m., has been officially canceled. The meeting was intended to be held via videoconference; however, no rescheduled date has been announced at this time. Citizens are encouraged to monitor the city’s official meeting portal for updates regarding future sessions of the commission.

Infrastructure and Traffic Advisory: Memorial Road Restoration

Oklahoma City Utilities crews continue to manage the aftermath of a significant infrastructure event following a 20-inch water main break near the intersection of West Memorial Road and McAuley Boulevard. While the primary repair work was completed earlier this week and water pressure has been fully restored to the surrounding Mercy complex and Love Family Women’s Center, restoration of the roadway remains ongoing.

As of today, Friday, February 13, the following traffic restrictions remain in effect to facilitate safe pavement restoration:

  • Eastbound lanes of Memorial Road are closed from North Meridian Avenue to the Tulsa Avenue bridge.
  • Northbound and southbound travel on North Meridian Avenue remains open, though motorists are restricted from turning east onto Memorial Road in the immediate vicinity.
  • Access to the John Kilpatrick Turnpike remains available through designated detours.

Officials anticipate that these lane closures will remain in place through the weekend while the concrete and asphalt base stabilize.

Public Safety: Warrant Clearing Event Announced

The Oklahoma City Municipal Court, in partnership with the Oklahoma County District Court, has issued a public service announcement regarding a major Warrant Clearing Event scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026. This initiative is designed to allow individuals with outstanding warrants for traffic violations or criminal misdemeanors to resolve their legal obligations without the risk of arrest. The event will take place at the Garden Oaks Community Center located at 3401 NE 16th St. Officials emphasize that this is a proactive opportunity for residents to clear their records in a community-focused environment.

Public Health and Regulatory Notices

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) has confirmed that an emergency order of summary suspension and embargo remains active for AAA Cannabis Distribution LLC. This action follows a recent inspection that uncovered significant inventory discrepancies and regulatory violations. Under the current order, the business is strictly prohibited from transporting, processing, or selling any medical marijuana products. This embargo is part of an ongoing effort to ensure all state licensees adhere to health and safety standards. Additionally, residents are reminded that the Oklahoma Health Care Authority has implemented new coverage guidelines effective this month, including the removal of prior authorization requirements for low-dose CT lung scans.
