City Government and Public Meetings
For Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the City of Oklahoma City has scheduled several essential public meetings to address community development and infrastructure management. Transportation and Transit Alerts
Public service announcements for local commuters include significant updates to the downtown transit network and major corridor maintenance:
- Streetcar Service Interruption: The Oklahoma City Streetcar service suspension has been extended through Thursday, Feb. 26. This extension allows utility crews to complete critical electrical work related to the construction of the New Arena. During this time, EMBARK continues to provide bus shuttle services to all affected streetcar stops.
- I-44 Bridge Project: Both the east and westbound I-44 off-ramps at NW 10th Street remain closed. This closure is expected to last through summer 2026 as part of a comprehensive bridge replacement project.
- I-240 and I-35 Interchange: Traffic on I-240 is currently narrowed to two lanes at the I-35 junction. Drivers should prepare for delays and narrow shoulders through the end of the year as multi-phase interchange improvements continue.
Public Safety and Municipal Services
The City has issued notices regarding municipal court services and public safety engagement initiatives:
- Operation Fresh Start: The Municipal Court is currently hosting a warrant-clearing event. This program allows individuals with outstanding warrants for traffic violations or criminal misdemeanors to resolve their cases at a discounted rate without the risk of arrest.
- Community Public Safety Advisory Board: A notice is active for a Ward 1 Info Session scheduled for March 3 at Healthy Living OKC. Residents can learn more about the board's purpose and recent accomplishments in enhancing local safety.
- Bulky Waste Schedule: Residents are reminded that a new bulky waste collection schedule will take effect on March 1. Please check the city’s primary utility portal to verify your assigned collection dates.
