This session is specifically designed for residents of central Oklahoma City to learn about and provide feedback on the proposed new zoning system. This initiative aims to modernize the city’s land-use regulations to better reflect current community needs and development patterns.

Infrastructure and Health Updates

Construction on the MAPS 4 Louisa McCune Animal Welfare Center has reached a significant milestone. The $42-million facility was ceremonially "topped out" this week, marking the halfway point of construction. The center remains on track for completion this fall, significantly increasing the capacity for animal care services in the region. Furthermore, the Oklahoma Health and Wellness Summit is underway this month, serving as the official launch for the Healthy City Initiative. The summit focuses on long-term strategies to improve public health outcomes and longevity across the metropolitan area.

At the county level, District 3 Commissioner Myles Davidson has officially proclaimed March as Women's History Month. This proclamation, issued during the most recent Board of County Commissioners meeting, recognizes the historical and ongoing contributions of women to the development and success of Oklahoma County.
