Sunday evening (around 6:30–7 p.m.): Police investigated a deadly shooting near North Stonewall Avenue and the NE 4th/NE 5th Street area. Investigators said the victim was at an acquaintance’s apartment when another man arrived; an argument followed and the victim was shot. Public information on any arrest or motive remained limited as of Monday.
Sunday night (about 9 p.m.): Police responded to a fatal stabbing near Southeast 44th Street and South Bryant Avenue. Investigators said the 911 caller reported stabbing their brother; officers found a man with serious stab wounds who died at the scene.
